smoking on startup and decel

So...my fd is smoking pretty bad one startup and on heavy engine braking after running it through a gear.

The smoke on startup is white with a blueish tint and smells like gas. It lasts for a minute or two and then stops. I did the champagne bubble test and it came out negative. I am not losing any coolant and my overflow tank only has a little bit of coolant. I am however, losing quite a bit of oil. A quart every 2 tanks of gas or so.

The smoke on decel is a bit more blue than the stuff on startup. It generally happens after boosting a lot and then engine braking. My car is setup to run fuel cut on decel, so when this is happening there really shouldnt be anything combusting in the engine.

Are these problems related, and do i need a rebuild?

Thanks!

Sounds like new oil seals on the turbo/turbos. No big deal. No, your motor is not toast....OOps, I hope I don't get kicked out of the club

if it smokes on deaceleration it's your oil control seals inside the engine. It happend to me too. I thought it was my old twins but it wasn't. If it smokes under wot it's turbo, but under deaceleration it's oil seals... You can do a search for oil seals and stuff and you'll find bunch of info...
