Smoking Problems... help
Smoking Problems... help
This is the story, my 93 rx-7 sat for 8 months completely stock without being started. Then I decided to go to a full out single turbo conversion. After sitting for 8 months, I took the car to a shop and they got it back up and running with a little bit of blue smoke on startup, which is normal. Then they began to upgrade. After all the after market parts were installed they wanted to start it up before they put it on the dyno. They told me that they started it up and let it idle for about 5-10 mins, then the car filled the shop with white smoke.
I know white smoke means coolant seals are possibly bad, but I'm hoping someone can give me some suggestions on what I could try just to make sure it is a coolant leak. I don't want to rebuild the engine then find out I just wasted major cash.
Also, they told me that, for some reason, oil is drenching my spark plugs, ruining them. Any help???
These are my mods:
Koyo Rad
Greddy 2-Row FMIC,
Garrett T04R Turbo
Megan Racing Stainless Turbo Manifold
1600cc Secondary Injectors
Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator
Wastegate and BOV
AEM EMS (which hasn't been installed yet)
all these parts are brand new, never even been driven on a road.

I read that clogged fins on the rad can cause smoking of this kind. There is some damage on the rad fins, it looks like someone tried to shove it in the car and it rubbed up against something. There's an area of about 4 inches by 1 inch that is damaged. Cause this cause the smoking?
