Smoke under acceleration

I have recently noticed some smoke under acceleration. It is mainly when the secondary turbo kicks in and is really only noticiable at night when cars with their lights are behind me. It is not that much smoke. Is this normal for a 3rd gen?? The car has only 28k on the odo so I am a little concerned.

Thanks

do you happen to know what color smoke it is?

I'm not the most knowledgeable person on rotary tuning or a/f ratios but on the other 3 turbo cars i have owened i used to get large puffs of black smoke when ever i got on the gas because most turbo cars stock or modified areo usualy tuned a bit rich to be on the safe side.

I would guess that your secondary turbo is due for a rebuild.
Out of curiosity, does it happen every time you hit the secondary, or only the first one or two times?

Alot more smoke comes out the first two or three times, and after that it is very little. Almost none really.

Thanks

what if its gray/blue smoke the first time the secondary kicks in and the second time and after no smoke? Is this okay?

My car runs very rich, especially at idle, so even after my turbo rebuild, I still get some smoke if I haven't opened it up in awhile. But before my turbo rebuild, it would puff a large plume of blueish-blackish smoke the first time I opened it up after it had been off for awhile EVERY time, like clockwork. Hope that made sense
