Smoke at 5500-6000
Alright, main question is, I let my car warm up, virtually till virtually no smoke comes out (it was cold outside -1C) and then, took it for a slow easy drive for 15 minutes to cycle through fuel stabalizer for winter storage. When I came back home, in the garage I reved the engine abit(earlier curiosity) to see when smoke appears. Sure enough it's fine, and then at ~5500 RPM a nice cloud of white smoke comes out(looks white... not sure how blue oil smoke is supposed to be) then as I let the rpm drop no smoke, so I get a breif shot of smoke no earlier then 5500 RPM. So I'm not sure what it was, maybe something to do with the second turbo, but does that not kick in at 4500? Anyways, any advice on what it could be?
Second off, noticed a very minor change not sure if its normaly or not.... When idling in neutral sounds fine(so I thought) and around 1000, fair enough. Making a VERY slight grinding noise, and sure enough when clutch goes in, it goes silent. Does this mean my clutch is trying to grab early or consistantly? Any advice? I wouldnt be suprised if the smoke has been discussed before and yeah I appologize however at 5500+ RPM I'm not sure if it's been covered, so sorry if it has, couldn't find it.

secondary turbo on the way out? Isnt full boost at 5500/6000
The clutch thing happens with my car, i think its just the clutch starting to show signs of wear. Maybe the throwout bearing ive been told. People say different things about it. If you do a search for CLUTCH NOISE, alot comes up.

I've got the same problem with smoke at high revs. The turbo boosts normally however this is a sign of an oil leak at the secondary turbo. By time this problem is going to get worse and eventually we have to change the twins....maybe a good excuse to go single...
The other problem seems to be a problem related to the trust bearing.

What type of clutch do you have?
I heard the ACT clutches make noise when not engaged, then goes silent when you clutch in.
As far as the smoke, since its cold out, theres almost all the time smoke will come out of the exhaust, even if the car is warmed up all the way. My DD does that too, and its a 06. A couple of days ago when it was like 31F i was in a rush to get home and i was sorta getting on it and i can see in the rearview the smoke from the exhaust.
Same thing if you exhale in cold weather and you see smoke. Its just the mix of hot/cold airs hitting or something lol.

smoke
Yeah, this would be nice if it's not my seal going, but when the smoke only appears at ~5500 RPM it makes me question the cold. I don't see how it could only be, but maybe! fingers crossed

Smoke
Yeah almost positive 5500, basically I was in my garage revving, and then see a billow of smoke moving towards the front of my garage, took maybe half a second or so, so definatly is 5500.
