which SMIC to buy??

I also need to know which SMIC to buy. Pettits Cool Charge 3 is nice, but i dont want to relocate the battery. I can deal with a mini battery kit, but i really dont want to relocate my battery. I like Peter Farrel's, but i have called them about 20 times with no returns or answers on pricing. Also have considered the M2.

I have it fairly modded now. Just broke in my new ported motor. I will do some racing, as it is not my daily driver. But, i dont need anything crazy. Just something to handle about 16 psi.Looking for the simpler install would help too, but it doesnt matter that much.

get the ASP Large SMIC...or a medium will do, but if you have the $'s I would go with a v-mount set-up

Kris,

If you aren't wanting to relocate the battery, then either the ASP Medium or a Pettit Coolcharge II would work. I used the Pettit CC II since I found a good deal on a used one:

However, if I was buying new, the M2 Med would definitely be the #1 choice.

I had this IC for 1.5 years boosting at 14 psi. Certainly a good IC. The problem is that you can not get this IC anymore, pettit has replaced it with one that seems to be lesser quality. In the end just get your hands on this IC or the M2 med.

I have the Peter Farrell's SMIC and it's been working great for the past year. You haven't been able to get ahold of them because they are moving their shop right now because peter is giving the business to someone else. Peter got sued for a large sum of money and a company bought his property. Their intercooler installs pretty easy and you don't have to move the battery. You do have to put in ducting though to the intercooler.

What type of racing? That may influence opinions?

what is the most ideal setup, FMIC, SMIC, or V mount (i mainly care about functionality, not ease of installation or things like that, just numbers.
