Smaller battery to fit FMIC?

Can someone tell me what battery would be a good replacement over the stock since i will be installing a FMIC and it requires a smaller battery or relocation. Thanks a lot

I strongly advise my customers against any battery small enough to fit with a large stock mount. You would have to do something like a PC680. They always die. I recommend relocating the battery to the rear storage bin. Not only do you free up room in the engine bay for more airflow, but you improve the weight distribution of the car. I usually go with a full size optima red top, Braille, or XS power.

Search for turbojeff ( i believe that is his sn). He just ran a group buy on stainless reduced sized battery trays. Uses the 51r sized batteries. Plenty of manufactures run this size battery. should provide adequate power unless you are running a ton of accessories. Here is his engine bay.

Some classes on the track (NHRA, SCCA) state that you must have a firewall between you and the battery plus an exterior kill switch if it's been relocated at all.
That's one of the reasons my battery hasn't been moved.

Also, don't forget the airbox on the other side of the FMIC piping.

I've got a some left. I'm not sure about the fit with FMICs, my design was made to work perfectly with stock and medium sized SMICs. Also I like the smaller/lighter battery up front.

I've been using the PC680 for about.. 2 weeks now. battery location isn't relocated. i'll report if anything happens. not sure about the whole "They ALWAYS die" thing. I guess it depends on your behavior, ie.. bumpin music, lights on, charging phone all while the engine is off. I plan on installing a capacitor, maybe that will help, its just from my understanding of the whole sound system thing.. i thought maybe it would work the same.
I, on the other hand, on average have aftermarket radiator fans stay on for about 4 minutes before they turn off.
