Lots of choices depending on whether you want go to a small battery or relocate it, intake choice, single or stock twins. And remember good ducting is as important as the size of the intercooler.

I have almost stock '00 fd with twins. I don't want to relocate my battery or anything else.
Now i try to compare amemiya, blitz and arc ics.
ARC isn't bigger then stock, so i thing it's junk.
But i don't how how compare re-amemiya and blitz? Both of them have ducting, but amemiya maybe a little bigger.

ARC has a thinner version and a race version. Both are terribly expensive.

Greddy/Trust, RE Amemiya, and Blitz are all very similar in size. None of them require battery relocation.

All depends if you have a "theme" for your car. Some owners do ALL RE Amemiya, etc.

There is a Trust SMIC for sale in the 3rd Gen parts for sale section now.

I have a question about the I/C's out there hoping you guys can help me out.
Am I better of building my own i/c or just buying one that's already been out there??
Here is what I want to go with spearco core with a thickness of 3.50" height 13.00" length 17.25" small enough were I could keep my battery in the same location, but big enough to handle more boost. The only mod's im planning is full 3" exhaust, intakes and down the road upgrade the twins to the stage 3's and maybe spray some 50/50 injection during really hot summer day's in the traffic or track days.

Like was stated the problem with this is you need custom ducting

without good ducting its not very good and you might as well keep the stock IC ,

also with those planned mods remember to add some sort of EMS

Sorry, i forgot to mention that its going to be the same style as the pettit intercooler but with enough space for the battery to remain in the same location. Also i will be going with the pfc.

If you dont want to do too much work, just snag a good condition greddy, i believe it uses the stock duct. Seal that up to the core well.

I'd suggest keeping the stock midpipe with main cat in place being you are in CA and w/o it you will not pass inspection. I just went through and had awesome numbers for emissions. Would pass in any state in the US with ease. Also keeps the noise down.

If you arent getting too carried away with the car, id keep as many things at or near stock as possible. Less is often more.

If you custom design an intercooler and duct use a smaller than stock battery to allow a bit more room. I designed a battery tray and hold down for a 51r battery. Check the FS section they pop up used.

The current available Front or V mounts are the way to go.
Stock mounts are obsolete.

Hop onto the defined autoworks V-mount GB! Its the last setup you'd ever need to buy. Cant wait to get mine and install it so i can uncork this 13b and get it off the relatively turrible factory tuning.

You will like the blitz smic, very nice unit, only smic I prefer over it is the KnightSports which offers a much larger core and custom duct.

+1 more for the Blitz smic. I've been through a few brands over the years and this one seems to have the best combination of fitment, thickness and quality. It even mates up to the stock duct so it's nearly invisible.
