slow spooling secondary, non-seq?

Not another sequential, non sequential question.

My seqential system is currently working, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. However, my secondary turbo isn't making full boost till about 7000 rpm.

I'm in the process of adding a boost controller to see if we can help it spool a little quicker. However, the transition is very rough (non linear on the graph) and I lose a lot of useable horsepower for at least 1000 RPM.

My question: If the boost controller doesn't help, what effect would going non sequential have on a weak secondary turbo? My primary still spools very quick and reaches 12 lbs routinely. Would it be a waste of time and money to do non seq conversion on turbos that are already limping?

If I'm already non sequential after 4200 rpm would it act much the same as say 5200 through redline?

I'm just trying to recover that 1000-1500 useable rpm shortly after transition. I figure I can go non seq, get new (used) stockers, or go single. Going single is probably several months out for fiscal reasons.

you mention a graph... post it! Generally though it sounds like you have a boost leak or vacuum hose/solenoid issue. Going non-seq is not a good thing to think of when trying to fix problems.
