Slow Coolant Leak

new reman with teflon coolant seals...no white smoke at start-up (or any other time)

new radiator, new AST, most of the coolant lines are new except those that extend across the top of the block from the water pump (water pump is also new)....no evidence of any leaks anywhere

I'm stumped....I lose about 1/2 glass of coolant every time I take the car out

I think the smell would be quite noticeable in that case

Look at the hose that runs to the overflow in the passenger side fender. It has a double nipple splice that always leaks. Also start the car up and just watch for leaks...

Replacing it would be one less thing to worry about. That seemed to be a common suggestion when I searched since I am experiencing the same problem. And replace it with an OEM Mazda one if you do decide to change it. Someone said they used a cheap generic one and it failed a couple of months after it was installed.

that was it....once again, Chris, you are the man....looks like pos vacuum line, no wonder it leaks....another Mazduh blunder

the system cannot siphon coolant from the overflow reservoir unless the line is air tight....I bought new coolant hose and fastened it with hose clamps....problem solved
