Slow Boost

My 7 builds boost slower than I expected. I do get a 13-10-13 pattern but it takes a few seconds to build to 13. I have a P-FC, CWC air box, DP, N1 dual and stock IC. Some times it works right but usually not. Does this sound like a bad check valve? any other thoughts. My P-FC reads .91 max boost and .91 injecotr duty cycle.

Any ideas are greatly appriciated.

Thanks!

I have a slow build of boost as well. I am also wondering if I have a bad check valve and am loosing vacuum or pressure from the vacuum chamber or pressure chamber. They all check ok when the engine is cool, but I know that can be deceiving.

I might get four new aluminum VP-2CV Check Valves from http://www.perrypumps.com/prod03.htm and just change them.

A clogged cat will also cause slowER than normal boost build up. I doubt its a vacuum hose IF you get full boost at all. Depending on mileage then you'll know if its the cat or not. Mine builds a little slower due to my cat getting more clogged as time goes by. I have 109k miles on original cat and usually thats the time they like to go.

Engine performance mods are dp,cb,boost controller.

I have a new Bonez Hi Flow cat and downpipe. Stock catback, though.
