slight oil leak

A while ago, while using an entrance to a shopping mall, the bottom side of the engine caught the ground of my 1993 RX7 Twin turbo.
An oil leak started so I had my local garage replaced 2x and then the third time REPLACED the OIL PAN & the GASKET.
Problem is there is still a very slight oil drip.
Anyone got any ideas what could be going on. Everything looks fine except for this tiny leak and this after much TLC by the garage. Are there any Mazda secrets????
Thanks

Where is the oil coming from? Like is it from a vacuum hose, the engine, etc. ?

I know that the oil pans in fd's all leak a little because they arent seated with some sort of a sealant after the gasket is put on.

shitty distribution of pressure on the gasket found on the oil pan for our cars. there is a company that has designed a new gasket that is supposed to stop oil pan leaks forever

This is exactly why no knowledgable FD mechanic uses a gasket between the oil pan and block. You are supposed to seal it with a good sealant (RTV, etc).

Use some hondabond for the seal (about $14) and use washers on the 10mm bolts for the oil pan...works for me so far

Do they keep using OEM gaskets? If so take it somewhere else where they use that silicone **** I forget what it's called but it worked on mine. Are you sure it's the oil pan and maybe not the rear main seal?

hey man, is a rear main seal a real big problem if it is leaking a little oil. I have a fairly new engine in my car (aprox. 3000 miles) and it has this problem? Its the only problem my car really has.

Well you have to take the tranny out to do the rear main seal. The part is cheap, labor is expensive. The only reason I'am doing mine right now because I'am putting in a new RB alum. flywheel and ACT S/S clutch. Seal at Mazda is like 10 bucks. I don't see why a new engine would have a rear main seal leak, should have been replaced.

You better just hope that the front cover isn't leaking. Labor is 1000+ to fix it...

You can drive the car with a leaking rear main seal, i've seen customers drive their cars with a big rear main seal leake for over a year till the leak got too messy for them to clean up.
