Black Magic: Yes, IMO, it works as good as it looks. There has been alot of discussion on the forum about air flow, ductwork (or lack of), vented hoods, fans, etc... Most of it is just theory from people who have no experience with a V-mount system. Forget theory. What are the actual water and intake temps vs ambient? And under what/all conditions? That's what everybody wants to knowand that's all that really matters. I am in the process of collecting all the data needed to have a serious discussion and evaluation of the system. But the basics are as follows: You have the whole nose opening to get air for the CAI, IC and Rad; the radiator fans are on the bottom pulling cold air thru the nose and out the bottom of the car; the CAI gets air from the whole passenger side of the IC-RAD V and the box shields engine bay heat; the IC is more like a FMIC than a SMIC as far as exposed surface area goes. There are no flow issues that ducts usually create in traditional type SMIC's and CAI's, or blocking air to the radiator like FMIC's. Everything gets plenty of air. I don't run a vented hood and don't think I need to (although I'm working on modifying a stock aluminum hood with hotrod style louvers). My "V" is not totally sealed off and I don't think it needs to be (a little cool air into the engine bay is not a bad thing). I don't believe you need a fan on the IC but one could easily be installed. These are my opinions thus far based on my experience with the system. When I have the numbers to back them up, I'll post them. Tom
