Simplified Sequential, How does your rat nest look?
I was reading Rob Robinette's site about simplifying the sequential system since I decided to do this to my car while I was swapping out the trans. He had some very good info but left a few holes and didnt offer superb pictures.
I was curious how everyone did their rat nest after simplification... did you simply reuse the current one only removing the unneeded lines... did you make a custom rack, etc and run the lines to it? I planned to modify the stock bracket, keeping the fuel lines and the lower solenoid rack but remove all the hardlines and just run silicone.
What Wade on RobRobinette's site did was similar to my plans, he relocated all of the solenoids to the front of the 'rack' but he said he didnt modify the harness at all in exception to re-wrapping it due to crispyness. I cannot figure out how he mounted them all so far forward without messing with the harness a lil' bit though.
I was hoping to gather ideas for myself and maybe others who are looking to simplify in an 'elegant' manor.

The lil' terror underneath our intake manifolds... although I found it a simple process after the first time... I still cant think of a good way to relocate the solenoids to the front of the solenoid rack. I may just modify the rack as planned and stick the solenoids in their stock locations although that isnt as clean as I was after. If someone posts up some radical and clean idea I may pursue it more.

Oh ok... lol Would of be easy to find the funny had I known you were non-seq.
I'm only simplifying though -- I think I'm going to leave the solenoids in their locations on the rack but I have removed all of the hardpipes and the coolant pipe. I am either going to loop the coolant line from the waterpump housing to the engine block or just block off both connections -- that shouldnt imped any waterflow through the system.

My mock-up at the moment... I need to get a few more fittings and 2 more Y-connectors though.... the added 'chambers' will be JBweld'd to the rack once complete and sealed.

Hmm, well I've realized a problem with the above setup.... I was using the diagram on RobRobinette's site for simplification. The problem is that 'E' on the Mazda diagram and Rob's simplified diagram are both 'Turbo Control', but on Rob's diagram there is another solenoid with no alphabetic designation which is also listed as 'Turbo Control. I dont know what solenoid this is as none of the others on the Mazda diagram share the name.

im not sure if this is what youre asking but you do know that theres two turbo control solenoids right? the turbo controll actuator needs two of them to operate quickly. one for vacuum and one for pressure.Hope this helps

I'm retarded guys -- I was completely ignoring the ACV on the diagram and didnt even think to look at the ACV I have since I know I was deleting it.

It isnt that really -- I've reworked the regular system with vacuum lines twice now and am now venturing into simplification... just have to pay special attention to the little things like that solenoid I overlooked and check all connections 3 times.
The first time was a pain and took me 4 hours to get the nest out, the second time I had it out in about an hour, taking a break for my back here and there. lol
After discovering that solenoid, I'm not having a hard time finding a nice spote to mount it... I need to visit Lowe's again for more brass fittings and some extra metal -- HomeDepot I've come to find out is useless. :/
