Silver RX7 with red leather interior(Good or Bad?)

I am looking at one this weekend. What do you guys think of this combo. I know that it is pretty rare but I was wondering if anyone has this and if there are any opinions on how it looks
Thanks in Advance

Only red interior I have seen was in a black car. Personally, I hate it. It is more burgundy than red. I bet it clashes with the silver; can't imagine it in anything but black.

Mine Rx is silver w/ black interior. I've seen the red only a handfull of times , but each time I have always felt this overwhelming happy feeling to have black instead. I feel bad ******* on it too much since people that have it may read this.

I have seen red int. on silver and black....By Far the red int. looks better on silver!! Nice and sporty looking...kind of like a Boxster with red/silver.
However, the leather seating is the least of your concerns when buying a used FD. Good luck.

It's the only combo I wanted! Although, personally I don't like the '93 interiors because the doors and back interior panel are red as well--too much red for me. '94 and later have only the seats and carpet red. I think it looks sporty

The silver with red interior is a beautiful thang.

I have a Silver/Black '94. I've seen the silver/red - and after seeing it, I'm glad I've got the silver/black. It's rare, and all, but just because it's rare doesn't mean it's good.

To each his own. I know some people really like it.... it's just not for me. Silver has a kind of classy sense about it (if you look at the psychology behind car color, it says the same thing), and red just doesn't mate with that very well... black, on the other hand, is a perfect compliment, imo.

edit: for comparison, here's a pic - decide for youself:

Hey Maelstrom, Your car looks good. I agree with you that the
more toned down red interior of the 94 looks better. Think you could do a rearward looking photo of your car like the one above here so we could get a better look?

i didnt like them at first seeing one b/c it reminded me of an 80's vette. but i was looking to buy one about 4 years ago, and after looking at it for a while....i love it. it goes great w/ the silver. but if i had a choice between black and red......would PICK black but would be very happy w/ red.

Maelstrom, you've got one of the best looking rx-7s I've ever seen.

Wish I would have held out for the silver/red combo now.....

If you're preparing to purchase an FD I would recommend looking at as many as possible before you purchase. Be patient and try to get what you want. I live in Minnesota and I drove all the way down to Texas to buy this one

Here are a few more pics to help people decide whether red is for them or not.

Note that the carpet in the back storage is black instead of red.

Don't feel bad! At least you have an RX-7! About three months after I bought my RX-7 my next-door neighbor picked up a silver Porsche Boxster. He definitely had sports car envy! Every time I look at his shiny Boxster I'm really glad I bought my RX-7. My opinion is that the FD looks nicer hands down! :p

Personally I prefer the black carpet with my silver/red FD. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted the red interior but now I love it and get many complements on it!
I'm trying to post some pics that actually work.
