silver FD next to rx-8

I parked next to a nice RX-8 last night. Nice car - I thought it was interesting to see the two cars together next to each other.

Nice pic. I think the 8 is a unique car but I'm already tiring of the body styling. Just look at the nice clean lines on the fd that's what makes a classic. Every piece of the car belongs together. The hood, fender, sides, top, rear, it all blends seamlessly, its well balanced, and your eye never tires of it Like the 911, or the old jags, the fd has great curves, not creases. I guess I'm a curves guy.

you know for a differet type of rotary car is okay. You guys compare it like it was the next generation RX-7 (FE I guess?) is like comparing a 1st gen with a RX-3 or something. To me they are two different cars just charing a rotary! I would love to have both of them in my garage! I actaully consider trading my wife's Lancer for one but they are not very practical as a family car ( I wish they had a bigger trunk! just my 2 cents

i hate the front fenders on the 8... they could have done so much better with them, the rest of the 8 is nice IMO

Agree with fritz. I think that the 8 kinda looks like a fish in stock form. There are some cool body kits that make it look much better.

I'm happy with how the rx8 turned out, but there is now way the it can beat the rx7 in the looks department.

The interior on the other hand is a toss up in my mind. The rx8 has a very nice interior..and on top of that can fit comfortably 4 people

They both have different looks to them. I like both, but when it comes down to it, id go for the FD any day.

IMO, w/o all those extra or added details like lines and cuts in the hood and fenders, RX8 is just about regular newer car.

The RX7 looks very very very good! It's got the classic and blended look like Fritz stated. But, only if the front bumper and turning signal would look more up to date, it'll be the best looking car IMO. Polly the 99 front end would fix that.

the fenders on the eight is awesome! they give the car a much stronger and meaner stance. I think mazda did a great job w/ the fenders.

yeah, totally agree - if i had extra $$, i would do the 99 bumper/lights - and of course, a FMIC would really toughen it up -

the fd looks outdated compared to the rx-8 , the 99 specs would improve the look dramatically

The mustang with the oh-so-sporty wing makes them both look bad IMHO.

The first pic looks like the 8 is pissed off and the 7 is calm, cool. My guess is they just raced...

Just my perspective of it
