Question Should I get the RB dual tip?

Right now I have the HKS Hi-Power exhaust. As you can see here it's quite large.

It's also very loud. I like the RB dual tip because it's doesn't look like a ricer fart pipe, it's supposed to be quieter, and it looks more stock. I'm just wondering if its worth it to buy another exhuast. (I got the HKS used for $200 so I'm thinking I'll be able to make at least half of that by selling it). If I do buy it it will be with the group buy going on the first of next week.

I like my racing beat dual. Its one of the older versions, not sure if the newer ones sound different but mine is real deep and not too loud.

i'd say RB because it's less ricey, gets you less attention from cops, and isn't as loud.

btw i voted

The PFS exhaust is a good option as well -- some guy is selling his on the FS forum for ~$250, iirc.

Yes, and there is another dual tip that seems good as well. DamonB runs it.

I know that everyone recommends it but I didn't know if it was worth it or not since I already have an exhaust.

Definitely get the RB dual tips, they ARE much quietre, bu that sound real nice too! Plus, if you're ever planning on driving your car to any length of time (i.e to a car show, as a daily driver) the RB's are very easy to live with. I have them and use them as a daily driver

same here, i go to school in nashville and go home to atlanta, for all the breaks, I've even driven from atl to myrtle beach to nasvhille ~1000miles, and never did the exhaust bother me. However, i don't have midpipe, and I've heard they make more noise, but regardless its probably the best and quietest you can find.
I highly recommend it.

And beleive me I now what its like to drive in a loud *** car, before the FD I drove a lowered 93 accord EX with intake and magnaflow exhaust..yeah I was one of those guys. I drove back and forth from nashville to atl a few times and it was almost unbearable, I couldn't listen to music because I would have to turn it up so loud. So, comparatively, the RB dual tips are like a mouse squeek.

It's an excellent exhaust, and well worth buying. If you are looking for something more silent, and stock in appearence, you can't go wrong with it. Others around you will also comment on it's noise levels.

Talking

To each his own they say.
HKS coffee can exhaust, don't like the look or the noise.
RB stealthy looking and sounds very nice.
Or go single tip RB, flows better than dual tip, more deep sound and looks better than the HKS by far to me.

Why do you say the the single tip flow more that the dual? I would think the dual tips would flow more volume.

I am hoping to get my hands on the RB system at some point.

I take it they fit JDM FD's without any problems

I didn't measure mine before it was put on, but it's pretty heavy. The stock exhaust weighs ~33 lbs, so I'm guessing upper 20s-30 lbs. Most of the aftermarket exhausts seem to be in the 25 lb range, with the PFS weighing only 19-20 lbs.
