Question shes scaring me.....

the last two days my 7 has almost left me stranded. for some reason the car has shut off while driving. for example, i was at a light to make a left, light turned green, i started turning, pushed in the clutch while turning to cruise into the turn, all of the sudden i start to hit the gas to accelerate and there is no power! the steering gets tough, i just end up crusing to the side of the road, restart the car and go. what the hell is that all about!!!!!!!!!!

Check your driver's side wheel well and see if you are rubbing through the liner and/or any wires.

I'm rubbing on stock rims on the driver's side wheel. That is scary to know there are wires in there. Why would my wheel be rubbing?

If you've already rubbed through the wiring, then it could short out at any time. Also, check your battery connections.

What suspension are you running? When was the last time you had an alignment?

well if the terminals are corroded you might not be getting good continuity through them. So, youll need to pull off the connectors and clean the terminals down.

I'm guessing it has something to do with your fuel pressure. Pump either dieing or the wiring not working properly.

I think you need to find yourself a good rotary mechanic/specialist.

I had a similar problem tho, not entirely sure what it was. But sometimes id shut her down and then she would be hard to restart.

Then i was at an interesection once and she completely died. Wouldnt restart at all, had to push her into a parking lot and leave her for a while before shed start back up. Turned out to be a MASSIVE vacuum leak.

Get a 15k Tune- up, including fuel filter. It solved my problems when my car was doing the exact same thing.

try to remake the situation and see what your doing at the time. should check the neutral switch too, it was what caused my car to die almost everytime in disengaged the clutch.

My money is on a vacuumleak or maybe an airpump problem since it dies at idle/low revs.
The battery should not matter much, you can even remove the battery from a running engine without problems. The only way a battery can make a car run bad is when it's shorted, but then it would be impossible to start in the first place.

this is just what happened to me in a van on the highway but we were going a long and then RPM's just died and we coasted along the freeway till we went to the side of the road. ended up that my aunt who owned the car took it to some dumbass and he wired the cigarette lighter to the main line or something he wasnt suppose to wire it to and ended up blowing fuses which shut down the car. i just bought my FD today so i dont know much about rotary but wiring would be my guess and i really mean guess.

i'd go get a diagnostic, it could also be a sensor, and my guess would be a bad air intake temp sensor (again its a guess). might not be reading the air correctly which means a bad air/fuel mixture maybe more air then gas, and thats why its turning off on you.

It's probably been said, but get your fuel filter changed and have a peek inside your fuel tank. (In case the source of the filter clog is visible inside the tank)
