Serious FD Question... please read & answer

Guys,
The 3rd Generation FD has been one of my favorite cars ever since I was about 14 years old... It is absolutely gorgeous!!
My dilemna is that I want one more than anything else in the world but i cannot afford one right now. I am in college and there is just no way i could assume the burden of purchasing one right now. I drive a 1993 Camaro Z28/LT1 with 58k original miles on it and i need to keep this car until i graduate. My dad says he will help me buy a new car upon graduation and commencement of my career (id like to buy a new G35 sport coupe) but i still want to try and find a sweet FD for a project/weekend car.
Now that you know the situation.. here is the question: Will i be able to find a low mileage (0-30k miles) 3rd Gen RX7 within 2-4 years or will i have to buy a total project car with a blown engine, etc etc? Furthermore. does anyone suppose the price will decrease within the next 2-4 years?
Thanks guys.. as always, you're the best!

The RX-7 is high maintenance if you do not keep it up then it will turn in to low reliability. The fuel filter, spark plugs and oil changes alone will hurt you on a college budget.

You can find them....they are out there, but you have to be patient. I personally thing the price will go down a bit because there seems to be new sports cars comming from everyhere (rx-8, 350z, pontiac gto in a yr or so). Maybe it'll dilute the FD buyers a little, but most of us love the style too much to look at much else, so it's hard to tell.

I believe that the prices will stay steady at 14K+ or so
As far as getting a low mile Rex, that's going to be hard, Honestly I would look for a rex that had a good maintenance record trail, and a new motor put in recently. Just my opinion from owning two of them in the past.

they will be much more expensive than some with "normal" miles.
i found my second one 5 years ago with 9k miles on the body. i paid 16k 5 years ago.... had to have it shipped, but it was worth it.

I think you will still be able to buy a low mileage (under 40k miles?) FD in a few years. They will probably depreciate at a slower rate than higher mileage ones. Right now low mileage FDs sell for $17-$25k while higher mileage sell for $13-$17k (roughly!). They will all be lower in a few years, but the gap will be wider.

i've seen some people sell FDs with around 15-25K miles on them. OF course they are asking around $20K and then some for it. Yes the price is worth what they are asking, but you must search out these cars and be willing to travel.
