Secondary Boost Problem Fixed
I thought I'd type up a thread stating my symptoms and the solution.
Basically, my secondary system worked great...before the engine bay got to it's final operating temperature. After 20-30 min of driving, I would get a "flutter" at the secondary change over. It was almost like the system was going back and forth, debating whether to turn on the secondary turbo. Usually, it would eventually catch, but it was annoying and I doubt it was very good for my primary turbo as I could hear the little guy wheezing.
The problem ended up being the solenoid controlling the vacuum side of the charge control system. It's the odd solenoid and isn't mounted on the rack in the stock system. Once the solenoid warmed up, it wouldn't switch. It was 12 hours until the next autocross so I was in a pinch for time. I used a good solenoid from the rack, made a short adapter out of male and female spade connectors (since the connector is different than the rest of the solenoids on the rack). The result is a working system, no matter what the temperature.
Maybe this will be of some use to someone in the future...
