door panel creaking

door panel creaking
The driver side door panel, where the map pocket is at, creaks everytime I lean on it to open the door...i think it's the plastics rubbing against the foam-type material of the door panel. Any suggestions on reducing/eliminating the squeak?

I did a fix just on this yesterday.
I haven't fully tested it out because I'm working on the door plastics.
But their were 2 things I did to reinforce/strengthen the door panel.
1) I used plumbers tape. Bent it to the shape of the door panel, but left about an inch on the inner part and about 2 1/2 inches on the outter part. Then I sanded the side that touches the door cup. I then got some "Great Stuff" and sprayed some on the door panel where the plumbers tape will lie. I laid it there then sprayed some more on top of it. Once it dried I cut it so everything would fit nicely.
2) I cut about a 4in piece of aluminum, bent the ends properly. Drilled holes in the proper area. Screwed it down, but with lock nuts and longer/thicker screws.
So far its pretty strong. I have tried to flex the door and it's pretty strong. I think if it fails, it will be where I tried to use the "Great Stuff." It might not be strong enough to hold the plumbers tape. Maybe I'll use some more that go horizontally and put some great stuff over the top of that.
I'll let you know more when I put the door panel back on.
