Seatbelt “button” replacement ideas?

There is/was a small plastic button that perforates the belt. I think it’s purpose is to keep the male buckle from sliding down too far and getting into the door jam. Mine fell out.
In the grand scheme of things it’s not a huge deal but I do have to be careful since I have a set of aftermarket Garage Alpha door sills that I don’t want to get beat up.
Has anyone else dealt with this nuisance issue before? Any ideas on a replacement that maybe uses the same hole and avoids weakening the belt?

there are a few things that work. back in the day i had a JDM thing that went over the belt, i've seen papers clips too
you could stitch a new thing in there as well.

or have the belts re-webbed.

I know a few people have had great luck with Safety Restore replacing the webbing on their seat belts, do a search on that. I would imagine they would replace that button thing as well.

Wow, same here. I remember I had my Mom sew a button onto my old Impreza back in the day.
