Sealing Malloy Reman Oil Pan with?

For those who opted to reseal the oil pan on the reman, did you use the oil pan gasket with XXX sealer or just XXX sealer?

What is the best XXX sealer? I have used "Great Stuff" for piston engines and wondered if it would work for that little nuclear reactor we have.

The "Right Stuff for Imports" is awesome. It supposedly is designed for closer bolt hole spacing than the standard "Right Stuff". I've had no problems with it on tons of engine sealing jobs and you don't have to wait for it to cure. It ain't cheap and has a pretty poor shelf life once you've opened it. It's like Cheez Whiz - really easy to control the bead size.

Fughedeabout the gasket. Use some stainless steel flat washers under the bolts as well to help
reduce distortion. Clean everything really well with acetone 2X and swab out the bolt holes with acetone soaked Q-tips. Put a drop of machine oil on the bolt threads before installing them and of course, torque to specs. I always go on the low end of the torque specs but it takes a really good (read expensive) wrench to be sure.

No leaks.

RonK has it right. Note: Pineapple Racing uses Honda-bond. Nice stuff...

Where do I buy this "Right Stuff For Imports"...Too late I already bought a Staff's Auto metal external oil pan reinforcer ($145 Canadian). Now I need the right length 10-mm bolts. Anyone know how long the factory oil pan 10-mm bolts are? I need to 0.1875 inches to that length to make the bolts work with the oil pan reinforcer...

Garfinkle uses Honda bond and no gasket. He has made steal reinforcement parts to spread the force of the bolts out. He said to let the sealer cure for three days as per instructions .
