Scary Problems

Lately when I've been driving my FD, sometimes when i push on the gas, it will rev up real fast as if I have the clutch in a bit and the car isn't accelerating. I tried using cruise control over a long trip, and for sum reason the RPMs and speed were jumping around until cruise control cut itself off. My odometer light with distance on the car went out, I havent fixed it yet, I was guessing a blown fuse. Maybe this could be sum electrical problems in my car, but Im not exactly sure. Any help or ideas of what you think may be happening would be great. Thanks and help save the life on a FD.

now i only have catback, got downpipe and midpipe sitting in garage and getting an intake soon and Power FC. Scared to put everything on without the power fc. New intercooler and eventually a single turbo, but dont see that for about a year.

I was afraid it would be a clutch..and i havent had a chance to look, but i think i need a new PPF. Hows the mazdspeed one over the OEM one and do you know if the differential brace that rx7store.net sells help it from cracking?

You should search for those terms. Lots of old discussions not needed to repeat.

An OEM will be just fine for for a while. Get it from Mazdaformance or Malloy. Don't know for sure, but maybe the slipping clutch is freaking out the ecu over the cruise control.
