???'s about fmic

My friend wants to sell his blitz fmic. The question I have is, will my car run to hot with the stock radiator. My friend has a koyo with no problems. I live in az and that means really hot weather. I have my fans set to turn on at 89 degrees (PFC) Any one else runing a front mount with the stock radiator. I may jut go with a pfs stock mount. Thanks

That was one of my concern.. and I've talked to poeple with front mounts with PFC and they seems to manage fine..

I just purchased greddy frount mount.. i haven't installed it.. but my friend with t78 with greddy 3 row.. had over heating problem.. he fixed it by cutting the underbody tray and added ducts to flow air into the radiator.. It helped drastically.. So, that is an option I'm highly considering..

I have fluidyne radiator.

you should be fine with a frontmount and a stock radiator.... however.. if u plan on doing any kind of racing that u will be running the car hard for any elongated amont of time... upgrade it... its only 400 bucks and it will save ur engine... but its not nessisarily a MUST have... but it should be a want... drag racing... OK... road racing NOT OK

i had my fmic with the stock radiator for about 7 months, sept.-mar. here in NC and it ran pretty warm most the time in the winter (96 on pfc), then it would hit 99-100 in march and i opted to get a new radiator and ast. Haven't seen temps about 88 now.

Thanks for the info. I don't do any road racing, just drag racing. I usually don't drive my car in the summer, just on some cooler nights. It kind of sucks to be without my car for such a long period of time. Good thing I have another car to drive. (FD's don't like 110-116 degree days!!)

Ideally,

Vmount sounds great.. I would like to get one.. but I ended up with greddy 2 row.. just because it was cheap.. Jason from RX7 store sold them at 830.. 850 shipped.. I think they are 890 now..

i am leaning towards a PF stock mount. It comes with the black air scoop, greddy elbow,HKS BOV, and all pipes and fittings. For 1000. My friend is going single and wants to sell his blitz front mount to me but I think it is just to hot. One question about the PF intercooler. I have an Apex-i intake and I don't think it will work with the intercooler, actually I know it wont work. Does anybody want to trade for a PF or Petit intake and some $$$ Let me know. Thanks
