rywire harness doesn't register vacuum on pfc

Hey guys, i just installed the rywire harness. When i started my car, it died instantly and the commander wasn't showing any vacuum. There's a plus who say boost on it. I unpinned it and didn't change anything. Confused and can't ride my car :-(

not sure if it would make a difference but is your car a jdm import?

Yeah it is, but i specified it and he gave me a rhd harness. My problem before was my cas not being sheild. Now it's not showing any vacuum on the ecu. I doubt the jdm thing as to do with it. Im using power fc.and its a 93

Sounds like it could be an issue pertaining to the MAP sensor or the wiring to the MAP. You should try to swap out a MAP sensor to start your troubleshooting.

It's odd because with my old harness it shows vacuum, but not the rywire harness. Im gonna look at the terminal where it receive the voltage or just test the wire of my stock map sensor

If thats the case then its almost definitely something with the Rywire harness. You should test the harness itself.

get a multimeter and compare the two harnesses. Can't remember which setting but theres something that can test continuity between two ends of the wire. It might actually just show the resistance which should be relatively low, but if there is a reading, continuity is present. The two wires should have similar readings on each wire.

If the readings are okay then perhaps one of the plugs on the rywire is faulty or not getting a proper connection.

And I've never actually seen a rywire harness before but are the grounds exactly the same? I can't remember exactly how the grounds are worked in to the oem harness but you might want to double check its all grounded properly. Just throwing some ideas out there

I won't have a chance to look at it today, but i will verified tonight or tomorrow. I will test every connections for continuity, plus i will contact rywire.
By the way the harness looks bad ***.

+1 continuity test from ecu via harness plug will tell you if its making a full connection. The Rywire stuff is very nice quality but its hand made and room for mistakes. I'm quite please with mine been running it for 7 months now.

It is decently well built. I have had a problem with it loosing RPM signal once. Fixed it by pressing all of the pins in the connector all the way in when its plugged into the ECU to make sure everything has a good connection.

I talk to the guy and he send me picture about the connectors to the ecu. He said the wiring can be different on the chassis harness. Here the pics he sended me. I'll give it a try in the morning and if it dont, ill rewire it the way i did my harness

The pic he send was wrong. I fixed the problem. The only thing i can say is that the tps/map 5v wire is at the wrong place and he forgot to jump 2 ecu connectors together. If you have a jdm harness, just copy the conectors and you won't have a problem
