yellows uncapped should flow around 720-750cc

and read ones would flow 600-620cc uncapped ...or so i heard

perfect for primary

rx8 injector

here is the pic of rx8 injector Rubber o ring inside fd housing in the rear location

give it a shot, it will probably work out pretty well if you can get the fitment taken care of.

just wondering if there is any interest in the community to have this developed

probably would need some kinda minimum order of 5 or so

looks like their standard rail should work, all you need is shorter standoff legs.

i'm sure i could throw together a primary rail but i'm too busy taking care of other things at the moment, as i would need to get a pair of the injectors and the rail materials before even getting started.

sounds like a good idea though and will have to add it to my long list of "to do" things.

either way i'd need to find a set and order the rail stock.

curious what you mean by uncapped? the yellows are only rated at 440cc, so we're doubling the output how?

here is some pic of the injectors i uncapped... rx8 dose not have return fuel system so by uncapping injectors and adding a 1:1 frp and raising fuel pressure to 43psi

VS stock

Found this online. They claim around 640cc if I did my math correctly with their modification, at $25 with OEM trade that is a pretty good deal.

http://injector-rehab.com/shop/RX8-a...ification.html

Modification of RX8 or WRX Top Feed Injectors ONLY, Please DO NOT purchase this if you are not sending in OEM RX8 or WRX Top Feed Injectors that look like the pictured Injector. Also, DO NOT Contact us asking if we modify injectors for any other cars. The answer is NO.

These injectors have an excellent spray pattern and flow 47% MORE than the injectors in their stock form.
Someone on the Miata board flow tested a pair of stock and they came out at 450cc which is within the tolerances of them being 440cc stock, that was at 43psi, those were completely stock no modifications. at 450cc with the modification claims of 47% gains would put them at ~660cc. They are a high pressure injector with great atomization and might be a very good replacement for stock FD injectors, keep us updated on how this goes and hope Karack can come up with something for a great rail.

This is for the yellow ones.

Why not just buy the bosch EV14 750cc injector so it fits standard top-feed rail and avoid all the trouble?

they are flow matched and modified to flow exactly 73lbs at 4 bar thats like 58psi they do offer other flow rates 60lb @3 or 4bar same with 80lb injectors... but they all say modified

to me it looks like they just take 52lb ev14 injector and mod it

i hope they are not doing this to them ...making a small indent, to a large depression on the valve...they hit them several times to reach target depth in the armature to increase flow.... you can do this to rx8 injector and get 2000cc out of them but that would make them really unreliable

so Bosch 52lb injector looks like best bet @ 55$ is cheap and will consider it
just got to make sour they are rated at 3bar and not 4bar

Yes, its called a new O-ring and Grommet

O-Ring = http://injector-rehab.com/shop/Unive...ch-O-Ring.html
Taller Grommet = http://injector-rehab.com/shop/Honda...r-Grommet.html

Not sure why you are going crazy over making an 11mm rail or trying to find an adapter for 11 to 14mm when for under $2 your problem is solved...

Today I'm cranky and tired of useless comments like the one quoted.

1) OK, so it won't work. Please explain why not.

2) Explain what will work.

stock rx8 fuel rail spacing for the injectors works when placed in to fd housing... just standoff leg is to long....so you cant bolt it down...but there wouldn't be any point in using stock rx8 rail any way

as you can see openings on top feed fuel rail for Bosch type injectors are much larger then denso
that's why i was looking in to spacers (top hat)
and that why you cant just shove in a larger o-ring in there

unless you wanna start a fire
