hey i need to no if this engine has a turbo im not an rx7 engine pro so i dont know i was wonderin if u people can look at an engine and see if it has a twin turbo cause i might buy this car but i does not say if it has a twin turbo but they give u a pic so if u can please tell me if it does i will know if i want the car thank you so much

IMHO, if you were to get an FD, you need to know what you're getting yourself into. Not being rude or anything but I've worked on muscle cars myself and an FD is 10x harder and more demanding.

 

ok i know that but i aint doin the work myself ok? i have a mechanic i know somethings bout rx7's i just need to know if it has a turbo plus its my buisness if i screw my car up if i didnt no wut i was doin not to be rude but all i asked for was if it was a twin turbo not for some advise on buyin an rx7

 

and since your the fd expert so u seem y dont you tell me if it has a twin turbo or not cause if u cant tell then u have nuttin to laugh at me about i no alot about rx7's i have done alot of research but i just dont know wut to look for in the engine and since your an expert u do i guess, so if ur the rx7 fd expert tell me if it has one or not

 

I didn't claim to be an FD expert. I just have a friend who owns an FD and it requires A LOT of work than your average muscle car.

You've done lots of research but you can even tell if it has a turbo in that pic or not? Geez! (Yes, its turbo)

In that case, then go for it!

 

1. You should learn how to type and spell.
2. If you had done any research on fd's at all you would know that all fd's came with sequential twin turbos.

 

So how old are you mob? 15-16?


No need for any expert on this one, all FDs are twin-turbo, unlike other import cars that were offered in non-turbo models, ie Supra, 300ZX, 3000GT.

 

yea ok all fd's have turbo but i never said it was an fd i dont know how to look for an fd either so i dont know if u guys can look at the engine and say yup its an fd

 

All 3rd gen RX-7s are FDs. The twin intakes are a give-away that its Twin-turbo.

93 - 95 RX7 = FD = twin turbo(unless converted to something else) = sweet ride

 

o there all twin turbo i didnt know that but i dont see y u would want to take the turbo out of the rx7 i thought they made twin turbo and non turbo i didnt know they all were

 

They made NA 1st and 2nd gens, but all 3rd gens have twin-turbos or single turbos if they are really lucky

And don't get the Veilside kit.....go '99 spec, FEED, RE Amemiya, Panspeed, Knightsports, or Mazdaspeed...but not Veilside

Whats up with everyone baggin on every nobbie who has questions? All you so called experienced guys shouldnt be dissin someone who is about to buy the car you all love so much. You guys act like you were born knowing everything about Rx-7s. Next time you people should just show some class and answer a guys question who is in need, instead of wasting your time being di**heads. Sorry just needed to vent a little.

 

It's not EVERY n00b that gets a raggin', but the ones who blatently have never picked up a dictionary or looked elsewhere for the information get their due. I saw this thread and didn't answer for those reasons alone.
