Hello.
I would like to know were the rx7 fd have the serial number for chassis and for motor and other if it have.
Because I would like to check this numbers before I buy one if is the same numbers with that on papers.

It is a metalic label or is print on fd body ?
It is something that you can change?
I ask all that to be sure that I buy non stolen car.

 

in the door frame and stamped into the chassis on the firewall, near the middle if i remember correctly.

 

The number for the motor is on a plate behind the vacuum chamber. It's not the same as the VIN, and I don't think there is any real meaning to the motor number. However, that plate will say if it's a remanufactured motor vs. original.

The owners manual for fd shows the locations for this number?
If yes were I can download it?

On the australian rx7s, the chasis number is stamped at the top centre of the firewall and the engine number is stamped on the engine under the alternator.

 

I thing that must found europe service or owner manual
Or is more easy to ask mazda dealer

However, as dgeesaman said, the engine number and the chassis VIN are not the same and have no correlation to each other.

 

Beside the proper location mentioned...the VIN also can be found on every single pc of glass like windshield, rear window, driver & passenger window...it they are original of course.

 

I would like to find the chassis number that can not change for persons and is unique for any car.
The vin number is something easy to change the same for engine number so I have to look on the top centre of the firewall asrx7tt20b said and also look the papers if is the same.
The engine number maybe is different if the previous owner have change the engine so it is not a problem.
The vin number I think that is the serial who have information about model ,factory, version, etc.
