Running rich and popping

hey im new to rotaries...actually just been 2 days since i got my 3rd gen.
its a 1993 efini with a 99 spec engine in it.

ok so here is the problem.....the car was running fine the first day, but today on idle the car would just shut off....soo i got the idle raised a bit and now its fine BUT running very rich....to the point that my eyes burn if i stand behind the car or even in front of the engine bay. and there is a litt;e missing on higher rpms and i just dont feel the same kick as i did the first day.

any help here wud be appreciated.

FD run rich, that's a fact.

Get your iddle back to normal in the first place and try to know why it stalls.

Normal RPM at iddle is 800 to 850.

It sounds to me like your TPS is out of adjustment.

It is 720 rpm at idle with no electrical load.

You need to list all your mods.

I'm guessing its full exhaust and hence the back fire and the smell..

Damn, there are a lot of FD's in Paki these days. Well, not a lot, but a hell of a lot more than 10 or so years ago when I last visited . What part of Pakistan are you from? I need to make a trip out there again...

Salaam,
Rizwan

well ima see about the TPS thing soon. and i just have an aftermarket exhaust but from the cat onwards... i think the cat is stock....which btw i want to eliminate!

@str8ryd
im from islamabad, studying in lahore....and yea there are quite a few FDs here but most of them are just standing with blown engines..the rest have 1 or 2 jz,s in them. oh and the racing scene here has suuure impoved in the last 10 years, haha. 500+ whp civics, 800 supras n skylines, quite a few 500 hp+ evos.
every other civic has a h22.
