Running NOS...100 shot???

I went to the dyno last night and with dp, hi flo cat, cat back, intake, and ecu I only got 288 rwhp with 251 tq. I want more!!! Okay, so I am looking at running a 100 shot of NOS but I want to do it as safe as possible. What do I need? I got ideas but I want to hear it from others as well.

Can you give a little more details on your setup?

Are you running stock twins, what type of ECU, fuel delivery increases?

100 shot is a crapload! Most people with a large single turbo push maybe 50 or so.

Personally, I would go the route of an upgraded intercooler and fuel pump, then run some more boost through the car.

But here's some info about NOS on FD's:

Ok. Stock twins, apexi intake, m2 dp, n tech hi flo cat, apexi N1 cat back, pettit ecu, fluidyne radiator, pettit aluminum ast, new plugs, boost gauge, water temp gauge, and turbo timer. Motor is stock, stock injectors, no porting, etc. I am going to install my underdrive pulley one of these days. Fuel system is stock...I want to know what to do. I already know I need a new clutch to handle the power, fuel pump, injectors, etc. I wnat to know what size injectors, what fuel pump, etc. Thanks for the help

youre nuts. period...if you have 7k in the bank to get a new motor...you might as well give it a try...then when you cook your side seals you can get the thing ported.

get the responsible mods instead...otherwise you are risking your motor...and who knows what else.

m2 has upgraded twins...

and you can get 1300 cc injectors with a nippondenso pump...with the higher boost levels along with at least a base 25hp gain...your probably looking at a 50hp increase easy...

jason

ps..I looked into this idea a while back...you need a wet system and a thick wallet for insurance.

You also have 2 have 3mm seals from what i have heard.. The 2mm will break under the load when u hit the 100 shot(so i have heard).. You also dont have the fuel required for this.. Do what people have listed above and dont wry bout NO2.

2 or 3mm seals are all the same...suposidly 3mm will handle a bit more detonation, but theres issues of them skipping @ high rpms, and machineing clearence issues...

bottom line its all in the tuning..2mm stock seals have seen 30+psi of boost consistantly without problems..all due to proper tuning..

back to the subject of nos..id leave it alone
even the big boys run a 75 shot @ most..
youll need a wet system, and even then id still upgrade my fuelsystem, wich would require a standalone engine managment to run the larger injectors

for the money, spend it on a ic and other mods..leave the NOS for the ricers, F&F, and the real fast guys

Yeah, you have to be real careful or you might blow the welds of the intake manifold.
