runing without fuel damper ???

Hi,
I've got serious problem with my primary fuel rail and especially with the fuel dampner !

Do you think I can run my FD without it ???

I am able to replace it by this :

Or you can just tap it and install a barb fitting. There is a how-to on our website www.banzairacing.net

There are quite a few people who have done this on the older generations of RX-7s. However, most of the people who elimate the FPD are also running upgraded FPR which have dampening capabilities.

There have been messages of people removing them on the stock fuel system without any other upgrades but I never saw any long term data to say it was a good or bad thing.

New FPD's aren't that much. Just do it right and get a new one.

I know of several people with completely stock cars that have eliminated the FPD with no adverse effects. One did this mod 3 years ago on his daily driver with no change in idle or driveablily to this day. This is obviously a small sampling and I am sure there are people that will say they tried it and their car ran terrible, but I have yet to see a car that had any problems with this modification.

I ran without the fpd for almost a year with no adverse effects. Try it, if you don't like it get a SX fpr - it costs a little more than a new OEM fpd and you will be able to adjust your fuel pressure.
