RPM at full!

Ok guys, looking at buying a second FD, and the car looks great in person.

But in the advertisement, the rpm gauge is at full and there is no one in the drivers seat? I will definitely ask about it tomorrow, but can anyone explain this? Wasnt doing this when i saw the car in person.

Maybe it just has a really high idle :P.........lol
I'm not sure if its repairable or not as I don't know the problem....but a new mazda oem one is not too costly, about 320USD inclu postage from japan iirc.

That is really funny. Maybe its USDM internals with a JDM cluster because in the U.S. our tachometers start from the right and go to the left...

o wai...

It is likely a problem with the gauges. Although I would be weary as to why someone was fiddling back there (kms rollover?). I know I screwed up my tach when I installed my boost gauge in the stock oil pressure location. I did end up fixing it.
