RPM Error

hey guys, im running a Microtech LT 10 ecu that comes with the ignition box on a street port 13B, single turbo.
this is my prob, i blew my engine (rotor bearing got damaged) but before i did, car used to start ok with no probs, rebuilt it, getting good compression, getting oil pressure, fuel pressure and spark but it will not start. Laptop showed me that i'm having a RPM Error which indicates to be the Crank Angle Sensor, took the CAS out and tested it on a sensor tester and it showed good. Borrowed my friends CAS from his car which is starting and driving and same prob. We wired a distributor and its giving out so much more spark and we're getting over 400 rpm or more, jus by turning it with our hand. What can be the prob here?

Did you swap the connectors for the CAS? It's easy to plug them in wrong.

Two things to check:

* continuity of the CAS signal to the ECU
* verify the distance of the crank angle sensors to the trigger wheel (too much distance and it won't get a reading)

one tuner also said to check the crank pulley to see if it was magnetizing and it is, we even changed the pulley as well. we also checked the connectors to the cast as well. One person told me to pulled the car with a rope and kick start it or change the ECU and try another microtech to see if its an ECU problem. will try wat u guys said....thanx.

hey guys, so we tried all of the above and still no start. Our next option is to try a different ECU or change the front cover of the engine to the distributor type than crank angle sensor type.
