Rough idle

My 93 has a rough idle. It's not excessive, but worries me a little. Is this normal? The engine has 41K miles.

What rpm is your idle (when the car is warm)? What, if any, mods are on the car?

Couple of suggestions: (1) check to see that you have not knocked the hose off of the MAP sensor, (2) check to see that your air pump is functioning properly (clutch should be engaged up to 3000 rpm), or (3)you also may have a leak through the air pump which can cause a rough idle condition. You will probably need to replace (or rebuild) the air pump in the latter circumstance. Keep diggin' its under that hood somewhere.

The car idles at just under a grand when warm. It happens every now and then.

That still doesn't describe "Rough Idle". Are you hearing a popping sound out of the exhaust?

Also, what is done to the car (mods)?

id say change your spark plugs and check your plug wires. thats my problem right now...it feels like a loss of power adn backfires. breaks up at idle. changing those plugs in the morning\

If your on stock fuel the best thing you can do is change the plugs and check the grounds.
