Rotary Extreme headlight install help??!!
Problem: headlights dont turn on.
I successfully mounted the headlights, and after wiring found that the bulbs didnt turn on. I tested them off the battery and they worked fine. After checking the wiring with a volt meter, i discovered that the ground is fine, and the high and low beams of both sides have no voltage. This leads me to believe i fried a fuse or relay. Any suggestions?? By the way, when i cut the wires to the old motors, they arced briefly. I guess when cutting, they accidently touched. This is most likely the problem as it could be the result of a blown fuse. So, my question is, where is the fuse to the headlights, and which relay is the one for the headlights, is it the (retra) relay next to the intercooler?? i tested every fuse next to the clutch but none of them are for the headlights. What should i do?? should i run new wires from a toggle or something? im getting sick of this problem since i cant drive at night

the one next to the clutch??
I know the one ur talking about. its next to the clutch and has like 15 or 20 fuses. Most of them 10 15 or 20 amp. I dont have the cover to it, so i pulled each one out and checked them with a fuse tester. Could it be the (RETRA) relay also??

i really highly doubt its the relay...find the right fuse...its in there somewhere...i dont feel like going out to look...and you really should have just disconnected the battery...only takes a minute...if you would have done that you would probably be fine right now, and also i wouldnt but through the wires either while there are hot (energized)...good luck though man, and by the way, im an electrician

When my flush mounts were installed, the guy that installed them couldn't get them to work either....so he wired up a seperate headlight switch. So now my column switch is just for tailights and interior lights, and I have a seperate one for the headlights. Let me know if you find out what the problem was so I can check mine for the same problem....till then, I'll just use the one I got.
