Cosmo 13b in fd

I already did a search and if its out there I couldnt find it... I have a 93 fd with a big *** single turbo, apexi fc and a whole bunch of **** I dont feel like typeing out. Anyway I got the car blown up, this is my 1st fd and I am pretty shure the motor died becuase of a bad tune. The front half of the motor is shot. I am probly going to take my core to atkins tomarrow to have it rebuilt, but I am thinking of buying a cosmo 13 b to put in it so I can learn how to tune the ems. I know the mounts are different but will a cosmo 13b fit in the fd with the fd mounts??? I know the mounts are different but can I take the fd mounts and put them on the cosmo??? The motors cost about $1000.00 less. I need some input.

No you can not take the FD mounts and put them on a Cosmo 13B motor. The FD motor mounts attach to the rear plate thru the oil pan whereas the Cosmo 13B motor attaches to the intermediate plate.

There has been a 13B RE convert but a custom sub-frame would be needed . . Not so simple . Check it out ....
