Rode in a 7 that scared me (*PICS*)

So i went to one of our performance shops (my favorite one) And guess what was just chilling a black FD it was so sick looking! then I looked closer before i could start making fun of it I was taken for a ride. first gear with traction contol off wheel spin then second more wheel spin then third more wheel spin! now sliding sideways at around 75-80mph! then traction contol on, in your seat but not hard in first still some spin then second gear starting to hold on to the well places oh **** bar mazda put on the passenger side door! then i look down at the speedo we are going over 100mph in seconds! let out and mash the brakes. the slotted rotors brought us to a hault and then back to doing the speed limit. I used to hate to see an LS1 in an rx7 but now i respect it!

I think the subject of this thread should be changed to:

Road in a 7 that scared me (*1 tiny pic*)

But seriously, I bet that LS1 RX-7 is a lot of fun. I've got no religious objections to the swaps, and I think it would be great fun to have a bunch of reliable power and torque in the great FD chassis. And I'm curious what TC he was using, too. Does it use the stock wheel sensors?

you do realize that resizing will only make the picture look worse.

Well...my engine is feeling weak lately. A rebuild would put me around 3-4 k. I have been contemplating on whether or not to get another rebuild or just install another engine that can take more punishment The LS1 seems like a good route to go. How much would it cost for a complete swap to the LS1 including the engine and labor. Any ideas? Also what are the hp and torque figures of these engines? I would hope around 350 rwhp?

Sure you can. Use IrfanView to resize it and just bring the quality of the jpeg down to about 65% and you should be ok. See what size it is at 640X480. If not, bring it down in steps until you hit 100k.

Saving the pic as a .bmp is where you went wrong. Re-size the original pic and save it as a .jpg this time. We wanna see it!

...of course, if you take a pile of **** and rinse it off, you're still left with a pile of ****.

Translation: Guess is was a bad pic to begin with.

What really scares me about this thread is the lack of punctuation in the first post! I have only a vauge idea of what the original post said because I didn't want to take the time to put periods (and commas) in myself. There was something about traction control, and the car being quick...

I'm not trying to "nit pick", but does it really take that long to type a period or a comma? Come'on it's right next to "M!"
