Did I ever say you attacked me directly? WTF are you talking about?
Then why do you feel the need to continually attack my posts? Delusions of grandeur? Riding in on your white horse to save the forum from the evil Mr. Don't-like-rotaries? Is that a paying gig?

"Read it and let it slide and move on"....LOL...This is almost the definition of
hypocrite, coming from a forum addict with 9,000+ posts....
You mean coming from someone who has been here pretty much since there was a forum? Then again, I don't see you making an issue of other long-time members having large numbers of posts, so post count isn't really the issue here, is it?

So anyway jimlab, since you chose not to answer the question I asked, here it is again....

How many RUNNING V8 FD's are there?
Don't know, don't care. This isn't about V8 FDs and no one mentioned them until you showed up to grind your V8 vs. rotary axe some more.

Why are you complaining about JimLab so much? You're saying bad stuff about him when he more than likely knows more than you do, and has helped other forum members out more then you, and unlike you he didn't hijack this thread.

Do you know howmany RUNNING FD's are there? There's a lot bigger variable there, so figure that one out.

Jim, I could truly care less what you think.. The only time I've replied to your posts is to express my opinion and disagreement with your belief that the rotary engine sucks.

Do I hi-jack your threads? No.... Do I grind the V8 vs. rotary axe? No....

Take a look back thru all most posts, you wont find one where i'm degrading V8's or any piston engine....can you say the same? Didn't think so.

If you want to continue this debate send me a pm.

WTF does this have to do with the price of beer?

I think you missed my point, which is, there is an inordinate amount of "rotary's suck" posts on this rotary centric forum from the vast minority of alternatively powered Rx-7's

Just counting the FD3S the total worldwide production was 68,589. Lets be gracious and say there are 250 running non-rotary FD3S's.

Thats less than 0.00364%

And THAT sir, was my point.

Right, which is why you've come out of the woodwork numerous times over the last couple years to tell me precisely what you think about what I think...

Don't need to. It's no secret that I can't stand rotary engines.

How about you just **** off and save everyone from any further annoyance?

Wendy's sucks.
Ahh. I know it read wrong, but it seems like every POSITIVE thread about an Rx7 or its rotary motor (13b, 20b, whatever) has to have SOMEONE who doesn't like Rotaries, say something about them...even if they are "joking" (Every joke has its truth though doesn't it?).

I do enjoy the information I get from you and others that spit out good facts and more importantly, experiences...but it does get old, even if it's a joke. Joke's get old too ya know?

Ahh well, it's not a big complaint, most of the time I just keep scrolling past. It's sunken in that the Rotary engine in the FD is merely a good alternative way to make power, not a special and advantageous way to do it...just a "different" way to do it.

LOL, Wendy's just came to mind, I don't like fast food restaurantes on a whole anyways.

And out of those 25, probably 5 actually used them, while the other 20 did absolutely nothing with them. You overestimate the motivation of the human race

Fair enough.

His estimate is still low, as there are at least 15 running in the country.

Some of you guys are unbelievable...

If you hate Jimlab so much, stop quoting him trying to make him look stupid. Perhaps you haven't read some of his other contributions, but I would guess he knows a hell of a lot more than you do. On top of that, he's not some dim-wit who is spewing profanity all over his reply. The more people try to argue with him, the stupider those people look.

Putting an LS1 in an FD is an awesome idea. Personally, I'm tired of paying $5/gallon anytime I want more than 400 whp.

At the end of the day who really cares what Jimlab thinks about rotaries he is entitled to his opinion as much as you are too yours.

Now back to the thread..........

You guys get ripped on 20B's man.

I can get a 20B in my car for under $8000 (around $5k US)

Even better though is the 4 Rotor option for around $25k

Hmmm

This was supposed to be a thread about 20B's, not V8's. This was supposed to be about the joy or riding a 3 rotor, not to bash the 20B. So politely, everyone that is speaking about anything but the 20B, STFU!!!
Peace

That's a pretty sweet deal. What would that include? Used motor and turbos? How much for a rebuild/port job/turbo upgrade?

There's nothing funnier than some wet-behind-the-ears FNG telling everyone what to do...

I need to move to New Zealand.. Damn. Thats cheap!

Also, regarding Jimlab.. you know, I have respect for the guy.. More **** I read on this forum, More I understand why Jim acts the way he acts. I sometimes want to do the same..

Far as V8's I wouldn't mind doing one. More V8's I see, I see why.. almost 30MPG cruising on the interstate and running 12s in 1/4mile.. city driving at 24MPG.. Come on.. My daily Acura doesn't get 24 on the highway..

$8000 for a 20b conversion? Parts and labor must be REALLY cheap in New Zealand

What I don't understand is why people get so bent out of shape by what you post Jimlab, I understand that this is "RX-7" forum and most of the members who have a rx-7 still have the rotary in it, but you do what most everybody does on here, post their honest opinions. I personally I have never had a problem Jim, everyone has their own opinions.

Now can we get back on topic.
