Does yours not work at all or does it just jump around? Those are two different problems/solutions.

Without knowing the history of the car, its possible. I would start by checking the wiring to the dash (i.e. make sure its recieving a signal). After that, check the solder points on the tach to make sure they aren't damaged.

I have a similar problem. No needle action at all. Where is this fuse located?

my buddy and i just had the same problem. It ended up being the connector behind the Ecu we forgot to plug in... When you turn the key acc it works fine, but when you start it it goes down...

We found the connector hidden in there and it was unpluged....

Yep, that was my prob too. It's easy to overlook.

White plug on the engine harness that plugs into the dash loom. Has a foam tape around the plug itself.

Symptoms of this are:

* No Speedo
* No Tach
* Oil pressure gauge reading high
* No Temp Gauge
* Odometer goes out once you start the car

Check the Meter Fuse, if that's good take a look at the ECM connectors. Was the instrument hood ever pulled?
