Ring Gear Spacer? Buy or make?

Hi guys,

So I'm having a diff (that was 3.9) built with an RE-Amemiya 4.777 gearset.

Looks like I'm going to need a ring gear spacer to bring the CW into acceptable backlash tolerance using mazda shims.

No probs for me to get one made, but before I do, does anyone know where I might buy one?

Presumably result of this would also require longer crownwheel bolts to be implemented?

Can anyone comment from experience or point me to who makes said spacer?

Thanks very much..

You might want to look into the RX-8 ring and pinion, there's models of the RX-8 with a higher ratio, like 4.7 or 4.8 and that R&P is a bolt-in. You still have to set the pinion depth and backlash and whatnot, but you don't need any fancy other bits.

I already have the RE gearset.

Looks like I have tracked one down locally.

For future reference if anyone else is needing one, looks like they can be bought here from KS for 21,000yen : KNIGHT SPORTS ?RX-7????????
