Is there a special way to remove the caps? I'm not sure how to take them off.

from the backside. hit them in the center with the rubber handle of a screwdriver or something along those lines.

I tried poking it from the back but couldn't find the opening to "pop" them out. Do I have to take the wheel off to remove the caps? Also, If I take off the caps can I drive without them until I can paint them? Thanks.

You'll have to remove the wheel. And it's fine to drive without them, don't worry.

I think in the circumstances it is wise to clarify that 'them' means the centre caps and not the wheels.

I just wasn't sure if the center caps were cosmetic only or actually did something. I'm not that clueless :P. We all have to go through the new RX-7 owner stage.

Take off one wheel at a time and pop the cap off. You can pop it out with your fingers, the handle of a screwdriver, or the wood handle of a small hammer. Just dont stab at the cap with something sharp. Put the wheel back on and move on the next wheels. To put them back on, you just pop them back in without removing the wheel.

Could anyone buy me the paint cans and ship it to me in Canada? I've search a bunch of places here and even online but none of the ones I found ship to Canada (I even asked). I'll pay for the cans and shipping and even throw in $5 for your troubles.

Thats what I did so it wouldn't look weird and then I found the yellow cap. The cap itself is physically yellow with no paint.

I find it hard to believe that Canada doesnt have an aluminum looking color in spray can form. Bring one of your center caps to the store and try to find some paint that matches your center cap the most. If you still cant find it, go to the shady part of town and look for some paint sniffers. I hear silver and gold are popular amongst them.
