Rim paint Came off in wash!
Today I went to take my car to a self-wash car wash with the high pressure thing. I was being careful by holding the pressure washer far from the car when I was washing the paint areas but when I was washing the wheels, I held it close to clean the wheels nice and the paint from the center hubcap's paint came off completely! The part I'm talking about is the center part with the old Mazda emblem on the picture below. Is there anyway I could order replacements for this? Or would I have to order a new rim
? or is it even something else? Thanks in advance.

same happened to me mate, all i did was took out the center peice (just clips out) took it down to motorworld and found a aerosol that matched the colour closest! its only plastic so quick and easy to spray! easy and cheap fix!
Dude....you can barely see it, the rust/rounded edges on the lug nuts and the fact that you curbed that wheel are more noticeable than the paint missing on the center cap. If it's that big a deal, really, just buy a 5 dollar can of wheel paint and it will probably match near perfect and NO ONE will ever know. Not to mention I bet those caps are 50-60 bucks a piece.

...you can also buy those metallic paint pens that usually come in packs of 2: gold and silver. It works great! It's usually in the project/craft/school section at any dep't store.
lol.....I think nearly every one of us has had to repaint the center caps. NO BIG DEAL, just do it. A PERFECT match is Dupli-Color DH1606. This is their high-heat ceramic paint in 'aluminum' color. It literally IS the same color.
Prep the caps by lightly wiping with some paint thinner, then simply spray a couple of light coats of paint on.
You will have perfect center caps. How the rest of your wheel looks is up to you!

Also I noticed one of the caps were yellow (behind the paint) while the other three were black. I'd really just like to replace them but I don't know where to buy them. Thanks for your responses guys but I'd really just like to get new ones.

Uh, I meant you or someone hit a curb and scratched them up on the lip.....
For real, that duplicolor will match. I'm sure your car has alot more "character" to it in other places, so I wouldn't sweat something little like this that is so easily fixed. Nothing to be embarrassed about bro. These cars are 13+ years old, no one has a perfect FD unless it's been restored.
Why are you SO committed to 'new' ones, when you can make the old ones look just like new for next to no bucks? NEW ones will soon need painted again also....may as well save some money unless you are just totally incapable of doing a very simple fix....

the new ones are simply painted centercaps, thats why everybody is telling you to just paint them....
If you really want new ones, you can get the efini caps from Jason at the rx7store.net for 95.00 bucks...I think a 5$ can of spray paint sounds better than 95.00$ specially for such a un-noticable cosmetic thing...

Man, I know its your car, your money, and totally your choice, but why? If you do this everytime something on your car gets a little ding in it, you will be spending 10's of thousands of dollars A YEAR just on cosmetics.
Buy the paint and if you don't like it, I'll send you 5 bucks and you can keep the paint.

Just an "observation".You stated that you were going to get the car Repainted. Why not ask your Body/Paint Guy to Redo the wheels too.The Only Difference Between Repainted wheels and New wheels is That One is NEW..and Besides, right now.nobody will notice that little Mistake you did at the car wash when you are Going FIFTY miles per hour!(..Take the Paint of the Fourth one and they will all Match!)..But it's your car.If you are Set on acquiring new,Try the Dealer.

Ok fine, I'll try to paint them, hopefully it turns out ok. Also, I just realized I'm missing the RX-7 emblem at the back... Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks.

^ Yeah, someone ripped off my RX-7 badge at the rear, I got one from a forum member, but there are other places to get them also.

I've also got a rear emblem. Someone wanted it awhile back. It's the OE emblem (the onion looking one, not the flying M one). I've got a set of the flying M ones in my basement to be put on for whenever I decide to paint the car.
