Has anyone bought an FD from Japan and had a converstion done to change it from a right hand drive to left hand drive? I'm not even sure if this is possible but if so how much does this cost to have done? Thanks.

it is possible i wanted to do that but its too much trouble and it has to meet so many requirements and an fd is not allowed to be shipped. supposibly only skylines there is a shop in la that legally ships skylines. heres the site on rules: www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import/

What would be the point of doing that? How about just buying a LHD car and not go through the hassle and waste your time?

FD's can be shipped maybe not to the USA but from what I've read there is no problem having one shipped to Canada.

Because I can't buy a LHD Mazda Spirit R Type A anywhere other then in Japan and if it's something I really want to do then it's not a waste of my time.

Sure am. I am happy to see that I've yet to read anything about an FD not being able to be imported to Canada.

Does anyone know where you would go have to an import converted from a RHD to a LHD? This is the one thing I'm not having any luck finding out. Any guesses on the cost factor? Thanks for any help you can offer on this topic.
