rewire fuel pump. need to prime?

i am going to be rewiring the fuel pump according to this thread... https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...tall+fuel+pump

no where in there does it say the need to prime the fuel system even if air is going to be in the line. just want to confirm that it's not necessary from those who have done this.

It doesn't take any effort to prime the system so do it.

jumper the "GND" and "F/P" terminals in the diagnostic box, with the key in the ON position and engine off.

If you didn't open/remove any actual fuel lines, then there is no need to prime the system. However, I would recommend doing it just to partially verify your work.

ok thanks! i'll do that. surprisingly the walbro pump is smaller and thinner compared to the stock one...
