I don't know for certain but the site says "consignment". Generally that means that the lot is going to sell the car and once it's sold the lot and the car owner will split the funds in whatever way they agreed to.

eric, you also have me VERY confused right now.... you actualy got a number from the dyno? last time i read, you didnt have any numbers. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...65#post2413765

also, who tuned that thing to the tune of 601? arent you involved in flying Steve up to tune your car? so you mean to tell me that untuned its running 601? DAMN, i better call my boy Dee and tell him to look out that after that thing is tuned, you just *may* catch up to him.

Actually...

The 601 was translated to 298. I don't think everybody read that far though.. Unless I misread, he was just messing around with the 601 thing..

Just like the parts he sells and the info he feeds us.

Not to start rumors but maybe that last company he "worked" for is pressing charges/suing him.

Steve has never tuned Eric's car to my knowledge. However, finding out is as easy as sending a PM to "Pluto"...

Nobody needs to PM Steve Kan--dont' waste the guy's time. He has NOT tuned Eric's car yet. There are no official numbers for the car. We were tempted to use it for the prototype issue of RX Tuner because the person we had initially contracted as the featured car backed out at the last minute, and we were stuck. Boostd7 and I, both being from St.L, thought it easy to use his car, however not having a) any real hp numbers, and b) not having any real time slips has kept us from doing it.

Why is he selling the car? My first educated guess is that he just got married, and owes more money than you could imagine on the car. I hope that he's beginning to settle into the family/husband position. His new wife is a real sweetheart--I've met her on several occasions. She's never been big into the car thing--maybe she's settled him--I'm not sure.

I personally have never bought anything from Eric. I've heard and read rumors on this forum for a long time. I've also had some custom work done at Bi-state (now Divinci Motorsports), all post-Eric, and they won't discuss it. I really have no idea about any of it. I'm good friends with the owners of the shop--if anyone could get the truth out of them, it would probably have been me. Anything you hear about Bi-state is probably a rumor--we'll never hear what 'really' happened.

I hope this has cleared up some of the issues. I don't BS or Blow smoke. I don't exaggerate. I don't make **** up. The above, to the best of my knowledge is the truth about someone I've met on numerous occasions, who has been to my home for RX7 club BBQ's, and who I've personally scared to death on Southern IL roads.

Whatever - if the guy is going to let his wife pressure him to sell his own car it's no loss, whatsoever, to our community - in addition to all of the other previously mentioned negatives.

DO NOT BUY HIS CAR

I was ripped off by that ****!

Secondly.. I know for a fact he doesnt have the title to the car ? How do i know this ? Because I spoke to the owner in Alabama who sold him the current chassis.. Erik gave him a check for $500 bc he was "short and the bank was closed" and the check bounced like a tennis ball!

The guy is scum.. And you have been warned!

Even if you have the $38k to blow.. your just walking into a legal nightmare!

You mean to tell me that eric has had the car for two years and didn't pay for the chassis. I find that hard to believe. How has it not been repoed or better yet him been hauled of to jail? Maybe your right but I don't think he would still have the car if this was the case. How long ago did you talk to the original owner?

The original owner and I spoke about 2 months ago..

Erik paid for the bulk of the car but the 1 check for $500 i believe is the amount bounced.. The old owner says he isnt worried because he holds the title and if erik wants to sell it then he has to get it..

IF that is the case, i hope to God there is noone that stupid in the world to first of all pay that much for the car, and second to pay it to him without the title in hand.
