Question Replacing Coolant Temperature Sensor on FD

Hi, trying to DIY the replacement of my Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) on my 1993, as it has fully deteriorated and popped off during a recent alternator installation. I've confirmed that this CTS is related to my ECU's temperature display and ordered the replacement (here for reference https://www.atkinsrotary.com/93-95-R...02-18-840.html). I want to ensure I'm only removing what I need to, in order to get my hands on the old plug and properly install / thread in the new sensor. I've attached a couple of photos of the situation for reference with a couple of questions.

I removed the upper intake pipe, and some hoses. Looks like I will have to get some vac hoses out of the way to be able to somehow pull that nub of a connector out of the green outer shell. Can someone confirm if I pull the black hose off (green arrow), does that bleed any coolant?

Regarding the two red vacuum hoses (yellow arrow), I’ll just use an angled needle nose pliers to gentle motivate them off the two vacuum pipes – being carefulto note the order/position. If someone has a recommendation as to how to move them off those pipes more cleanly so as to not damage, please let me know.

Lastly, in the other picture with the pink arrows, you can see the remainder of the old CTS. If I get in there with a socket or crescent wrench, and back that out, safe to assume that some coolant will come pouring out of that whole, and I should be prepared to quickly plug that back up with the new sensor? I should probably protect some of the plugs/ etc in the area with maybe some foil to keep the coolant from going everywhere?

When putting the new sensor in, should I add any sealant / threadlock to the threads?

Thank you for the notes!
Stephen

Remove the alternator, that should give you enough room to get a wrench on it.

The sensor has a crush washer, that's all it needs to seal. No need for anything else.

Agreed. With the alternator out it should remove a lot of the “ building a ship in a bottle” effort. You’ll lose some coolant but just rinse it off. Shouldn’t be anything it bothers.
