Replacement headlight housing
Hey guys. So Im finally getting ready to put the front end of my FD back together, and as I was just looking at my headlights I notice that the passenger light was just flopping all around, and after pulling the plastic shroud off I see that it has broken mounting tabs where the adjuster should be. After searching through some of the usual go-to online parts stores, I didnt see the housing itself available. A search on here yields me threads about replacements, HID upgrades, etc.. but couldnt find out where to just get a normal replacement housing. I found these online:
SPYDERŽ - Mazda RX-7 1993-1997 Chrome Crystal Headlights
Just wondering if anyone had any experience with them? I also found a set on Ebay that looks identical for about half that price. Or if someone could just guide me on where to find a normal OEM replacement Id appreciate it. Thanks

Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda for all OEM parts.

Definitely do NOT pay that much for them. I've seen them go for much less, and the ones on ebay are probably identical.
If you just need an OEM headlight housing, PM me and I'll send you one for free. Just pay shipping. We've installed so many Sakebomb Garage HID kits that there must be 20 headlight housings floating around the shop

Thanks guys, and rich I may take you up on that. I just wondered of perhaps these were a more common housing that may have been used on other vehicles as well. I know alot of times the local parts stores carry housings , but I guess it's not the case with these.

I'm wanting to retrofit some hid and I've Been wondering about housings.

I saw this but I know the price is quite high. Anyone have luck with those ebay 7x6 housings?
Advice is much appreciated. I like the clear lens rather then our oem ones.

I have those particular lights in my car. They were in the car when I got it. They do seem to be an improvement over stock, comparing them to my buddies car with the stock ones.
I can say they are better than the OEM FC lights, but not as good as the Hella 90mm lights I put on that one.
As far as the ebay 7X6 housings, they will not work on the FD. Those are replacements for the H6054 lamps that are in the FC. Not sure how they think they fit the FD.

I did a retrofit using FX35R projectors from retrofitsource.com. I just needed the clear lenses so I bought a set from ebay for $99 about 6 months ago. They don't seem to have them any more. The clear lenses fitted perfectly with the OEM housing.
