repainted the strut bar *pics*

Gave the R1 strut bar a good scuff and a re-paint. Even sanded down the bolts. A little TLC comes a long way. Just thought I'd share with some pics.. and one of my baby.

Start an account with photobucket.com. The pics will be downsized when you upload them.

I've been wanting to do mine. What paint did you use?

Looks good.

I was going to repaint mine, but I bought some 0000 steel wool and went to town on my strut bar. Cleaned up nice.

Spandy, you mean you just sanded it off to the metal and left it like that? I though about doing that but I was afraid it may rust. The red doesn't match with the rest of my engine bay.

No, the 0000 steel wool is extremely soft, like 2000 grit sand paper. I used to clean and polish the clear coat on the strut bar, so it's still painted and all, just clean and shiny.

Just some high temp paint. The colour almost matches perfectly.
