I really can't remember but I know the alternator has to come out...Almost sure there is a bolt hoding it inplace so you will have to remove that and the hose that goes to it.

Why are you taking it out?

either way, good luck

oh alright, but yeah take alt out and the black bracket that mounts on the PS/AC bracket. Unbolt the camber (i think it only 2 bolts. From there i pretty sure you just kinda jimmy it out, i know i had one hell of a time getting it out. Now that i think about it if you also remove the idler pulley that could free up more space as well.

good luck

You can go to www.iluvmyrx7.com and download the whole damn tech manual for 93 and 94. That should point you in the right direction.

I took it out, It wasn't that hard, But unfortunately, my Chamber works fine. It's something in the rat's nest that is loosing vacuum. What do you guys think it could be? I change all hoses to sillicone ones.

I know I have problem with vacuum because when i take hose off the Vacuum chamber after like 30 min, there is no hissing sound or anything, but if i take it off imediately after i shut of the car, i hear it. Where could the leak be? Could it be one of the solenoids. Also i changed all check valves.

I changed my vacuum chamber, and it was a bee-atch. I had to remove the elbow, disassemble the throttle body, and remove the oil filler neck to get to the bolt holding the vacuum chamber. And yes the alternator had to come out of course.

The old vacuum chamber was fine, but it was completely filled with oil! Thus there was no actual chamber as the air space was filled with oil. No wonder the secondary turbo was having trouble coming online!

I am puzzled as to why the old vacuum chamber would be filled with oil though!

Anyhow, I installed new pressure and vacuum chambers and the second turbo comes online like a champ now.
