Removing RX-7/Enfini badge - Any holes?

I'm just want the Enfini badge on the front and rear so I was looking in taking off the RX-7 and Enfini text badges. It doesn't look like there are any holes, but I just want to make sure. Anyone know what these are stuck on with and if I take it off will it damage the paint any?

Mine are off. On my stock bumper there are holes in front and back. I think the emblems were plastic welded on the studs, my painter took them off, I took him the bumpers. I can reapply them with two sided foam adhesive or polyurethane caulk.

I'm talking about the text "RX-7" and "Enfini" text badges on the lower right hand corner of the back. It looks as though it's just "taped" on there but I don't know for sure. Plus, I don't want to tear them off and then the paint comes with them.

The "RX7" is a stick on.

The "Efini" text badge is from the newer FD's right, and that's just a stick on too I believe, since rx7store sells it like that.

No holes under RX-7, mine are off. I bet everything that the Enfini badge is covering holes of the OEM Mazda badge.

I believe there are 2 or 3 holes behind the Efini badge, but I could be wrong.

The RX-7 nameplate is stick on (i.e. no holes). There are three holes where the Mazda nameplate should be unless they have been filled in by whoever put the Efini nameplate on.

i'd just take them off and if there are holes just put it back in lol.... you'd never notice! i've done it before on other cars. if its stick on use some fishing line. and to make it easier you can use a hair dryer. to loosen up the compound. hope this helps!

Hey Bud,

There are no holes behind the text RX-7 label. I took mine off two years ago and re-adjusted them to be perfectly straight. It will take a long time to be really careful and gently take them off. The hard part is removing the glue underneath. I gently used my fingernail and some wax to get the glue off. Then waxed over the spot to smooth it out before re-applying the letters with new glue. It won't come out absolutely perfect though. Very well, but you may faintly still see dull spots, depends how picky you are, I am extreme.

Secondly, behind the text OEM Mazda label, yes, there are three holes. I Did the same thing here to straighten it out and re-apply with new glue. Now, unless, as someone above has already mentioned that whoever switched the mazda label to the infini label filled them in, then just assume that yes, they will be there.

Hope this helps,

Chris B

There's no holes for the text "Mazda" and text "RX-7" at least none on mine. I used dental floss and gentley slid under the letering and worked it back and forth wile pulling towards me. Use and automotive adhesive remover then wax, you may still be able to read it depending on the amount of paint fade. If you decide to get rid of the RX-7 badging and don't break it (if it isn't all ready) I'd be interested as mine is defective. Jack
